DAVAO DE ORO’S ELEVEN (11) MPOC’s PERFORMANCE AND COMPLIANCE APPRAISED

In keeping with its mandate of providing performance oversight over Local Government Units with regard to its duty of ensuring and maintaining Peace and Order and Public Safety, the Provincial Assessment Team (PAT)  headed by DILG Provincial Director Noel C. Duarte, MSPM in collaboration with the Provincial Peace and Order Sector partners from the Philippine National Police (PNP), represented by OIC - Provincial Director PLTCOL Pablito G Odias and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), represented by Provincial Officer IA V Clodito V Cañada, convened to evaluate the CY 2019 and CY 2021 compliance and performance of the eleven (11) Municipal Peace and Order Councils (MPOCs). 

 

PD Noel C. Duarte, MSPM, in his welcome address, underscored the gravity of having a strong foundation of peace and order and public safety to sustain the rapid social and economic development of the Province of Davao de Oro hence opportunities to measure and improve the local councils are always welcomed. 

 

MLGOO Claire Ann C. Abellar, MBA, also reacquainted the provincial assessment team (PAT) with the CY 2019 and 2021 POC audit process to have a consensus in terms of appreciating the corresponding criteria and documents.

 

The performance gaps revealed by the POC audit will serve as a basis for crafting subsequent capacity development interventions to further bolster the capacity and performance of the Municipal Peace and Order Councils.
