Technical engineers of the Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) of DILG XI and the DILG Davao de Oro in collaboration with the Davao de Oro Local Road Management Team (LRMT) piloted the Local Road Management Performance Assessment (LRMPA) and Provincial Governance Reform Roadmap (PGRR) Validation and Exit Conference on May 4-6, 2022 at the DILG Davao de Oro’s Provincial-Local Governance Resource Center (PLGRC), Cabidianan, Nabunturan.
As transport infrastructures, particularly roads, are indispensable to the Province’s economy and social productivity, it is paramount that the capacities of Local Government Units (LGUs) in Davao de Oro be ascertained in terms of managing roads and evaluating the sustainability of the Locally Funded Projects (LFPs) a year after its completion.
Spearheaded by DILG XI CMGP Regional Coordinator Engineer Grace V. Socapen, CMGP technical engineer Karleth C. Ferrer and DILG Davao de Oro CMGP technical engineer Mary May G. Landeza, the three-day activity validated the self-assessment results of the performance of the PLGU in the planning and implementation of investments on local roads.
